Sensorimotor Psychotherapy © is a body-oriented “talk” therapy.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy © originated in the 1980s by Pat Ogden, Ph.D. and found its origins in Hakomi Therapy and the work of Ron Kurz, over time it is enriched by contributions from the fields of attachment, psychodynamics, neuroscience such as polyvagal theory and the structural dissociation model.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy © combines cognitive and emotional approaches, verbal dialogue, and physical interventions that directly address implicit memories and the neurobiological effects of trauma.

It is a bottom-up psychotherapy, using bodily experience as the primary entry point in trauma therapy and highlighting how events or “history” affect the body (Pat Ogden, 2002, Janina Fisher, 2003)

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy © integrates effectively with other therapeutic models and approaches.

We invite you to attend this free registered course with Pat Ogden, Esther Perez, Kekuni Minton and some of Italy’s leading experts in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy ©
